How It Works

If you have been involved in an accident that was not your fault, and it involved more than one car, you may have the right to a replacement hire vehicle with the cost of the vehicle hire recovered from the at-fault party.*

The Facts

What You Need To Know

You pay no security or upfront costs, though we do require credit card details to which we can charge any tolls/fines/excesses/costs that may be applicable under the contract. Despite no upfront payment being made, Compass will provide you with a replacement vehicle while you remain contractually liable for the costs. We then seek to recover the costs from the at-fault insurance company directly.

Cost Recovery

To allow us to recover the costs you must co-operate with Compass if asked, which may include giving evidence in legal proceedings initiated by Compass in your name. The Rental Agreement and Mandate set out your rights and obligations in full. Once you have lodged an application you will receive these documents. Please read them carefully and speak to us about anything that you would like to clarify.

I have used Compass twice and there service and attitude are second to none. I cannot recommend them more highly. I lost my wallet between the seats and called them to have a look. Delivery of vehicle was prompt although inappropriate car delivered due to where I live small sedan not suitable as I live out of town and have to drive on a dirt road I was able to pickup bigger vehicle within 2days . This vehicle had windscreen wipers that didn’t wipe windscreen informed them but right up to vehicle being returned to you wipers still not replaced. Other than this good experience
