Compass for business
Compass works with many partners across different industries. We’re a dedicated, specialist provider of accident replacement vehicles, whereby not at-fault drivers may be eligible for an accident replacement vehicle, provided the cost of the rental vehicle can be recovered from an at-fault driver or their insurer.
To qualify for a non-fault accident replacement vehicle, the client must be the not at-fault party in a motor vehicle collision with an at fault driver who is either Comprehensively insured, or Insured for Third Party Property damage.
If a client is receiving a vehicle after a non-fault accident it is important to point out to them that the vehicle is not free. Under the terms of our agreement, they still have a contractual liability for the charges. However, if the accident wasn’t their fault and they are not responsible for the accident Compass will try to recover the hire cost of the hire vehicle from the at fault party. To enable Compass to do this they will need to co-operate with Compass as we may have to talk legal action in the clients name.
At-fault drivers may hire a rental vehicle at competitive daily rates and if they have optional accident replacement vehicle cover, they may be entitled to recover rental costs from their own insurer.
If the vehicle is assessed to be a total loss and the claim is going through the at-fault party’s insurer, the client is entitled to retain the replacement vehicle until they receive settlement from the insurance company.
